The Importance of Walking
Submitted by Happy Ant on Mon, 2009-04-06 13:58
My grandpa started walking
five kilometres a day when he was 60.
Now he's 97 years old
and we don't know where he is.
I like long walks,
especially when they are taken
by people who annoy me.
The only reason I took up walking
is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
I have to walk early in the morning,
before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

‘I really appreciated the opportunity to participate in a program with variety - it was really great. the ability to have so many choices that you could vary each day provided the momentum to keep doing something every day - even Sundays.’
